DISTINGUISHED ANTEATER AWARD

Created in January 2007, this merit-based award rewards and acknowledges current UC Irvine undergraduate students who demonstrate commitment to UC Irvine through their involvement and contribution to campus affiliated programs, clubs, research or community projects.

AWARDS

$1,500 per award ($500 per quarter for one academic year).


This scholarship is part of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships’ “Continuing Student Scholarship Application”.

Application Process

Submit the UC Irvine Continuing Student Scholarship Application online by the deadline. A letter of recommendation and complete UC Irvine transcript must be uploaded and submitted with your application to be considered for this award. An experienced alumni volunteer panel established by the UC Irvine Alumni Association will review eligible applications.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Undergraduate students completing at least 45 units of UC Irvine accepted coursework and planning to attend full time through June 2024.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Commitment to UC Irvine affiliated programs.

This is a one-time award. Previous recipients are not eligible to apply.

Selection Process

The UC Irvine Alumni Association’s scholarship selection committee will review applications and essays and identify final candidates.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Please complete your application through the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship web portal. Follow directions carefully and complete the application accurately and its entirety.

  • An official transcript is required to be uploaded to your application. If for some reason the official transcript is unattainable, an unofficial transcript with the applicant’s name in print on it is acceptable.
  • We cannot obtain transcripts from the Office of Admissions.
  • A letter of recommendation is required from a UC Irvine staff or faculty member in support of your application. Please upload this letter to your application before you submit.
