The UC Irvine Alumni Association was established in 1968, just three years after the university welcomed its first students, and for more than five decades has helped Anteaters stay connected to UC Irvine and to one another. Today, UCIAA serves a global community of more than 274,000 alumni, engaging them through programs, events and opportunities for leadership and service.
Milestones such as the Lauds & Laurels awards – recognizing alumni achievement since 1971 – and the opening of the Newkirk Alumni Center have strengthened that tradition. The diverse Anteater alumni community now includes leaders across many fields, from Pulitzer Prize winners and Olympic medalists to innovators shaping industries around the world.
