Yes. If you are interested in becoming a Life Member of the UC Irvine Alumni Association, an installment option is available when you sign up online. Installments range from two to 10 monthly payments and the installment option increases the overall price of Life Membership by $50 total per person. No. If you and your spouse are interested in both becoming Premier Life Members, please first sign up for Joint Life Membership. Once your Joint Life Membership has been processed, you will each be able to individually upgrade to Premier Life Membership with a $500 charitable contribution to the UC Irvine Alumni Association.

You cannot obtain remote, off-campus access to licensed UC Irvine Libraries online databases and journals through a paid membership with the UCIAA. Remote electronic resource access is strictly limited to active faculty, staff and currently enrolled students using an active UCInetID and VPN.

Beginning in 2014, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) gave alumni the opportunity to keep their UC Irvine Gmail after graduation, including access to Google Workspace apps, as long as they renew their accounts annually. Failure to renew will cause the account to be suspended and eventually deleted. Once deleted, there is no way to reinstate this account or recover the documents saved.
Alumni who graduated prior to 2014 may sign up for alumni email forwarding instead. Please note this is not a mailbox you sign into to check email; it is simply a forwarding record, similar to a forwarding address when you move to a new home. Any email sent to your UC Irvine email address will be forwarded to another delivery point of your choosing.
The email address you will be given will be in the following format: UCInetID@alumni.uci.edu. Alumni who graduated with a graduate degree are eligible to request an alternate format, if desired: UCInetID@uci.edu.

Annual membership is priced at $75, which falls within the IRS threshold for low-cost membership benefits. At this level, member benefits are disregarded for tax purposes and the full payment may be treated as a charitable contribution.
The fair market value of lifetime member benefits is equal to the full price of a Life membership. Because you receive benefits equal in value to your payment, there is no charitable portion.
Spirit Life includes all Premier Life benefits plus a commemorative tile. The fair market value of $850 reflects lifetime member benefits. The remaining $1,115 is charitable.
Yes. Members who pay more than $75 receive a written acknowledgment stating the amount paid, the estimated fair market value of benefits received, and the deductible portion. Please retain this for your tax records.
