About Your Speakers:
Neel Grover is the CEO and Founder of Indi.com, an engagement commerce video platform. He also currently serves as a Board Member of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and a Board Advisor for Noon.com, a billion dollar ecommerce platform founded by the Emaar Group.
Previously he was the former Chairman and CEO of Bluefly.com, Executive Operating Partner at Clearlake Capital Management LLC, Board Member Rakuten North America, Board Member Coastal Contacts (Nasdaq: COA) and Board Member, CEO and President of Rakuten’s Buy.com and Executive Officer of Rakuten until 2012. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Buy.com in May 2006. He has served Buy.com as its President since September 2003 and as a member of the Board of Directors since November 2001. Grover also has experience with ThinkTank Holdings, a private equity management company, and law firms Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison and Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue.
Grover received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law, Order Of The Coif, and his B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Irvine where he was Captain of the Men's Tennis Team. He has been a member of the UCI Chief Executive Roundtable since 2008.
Matt Bailey is a serial
entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in creating and
executing on growth strategies that build long‐term, sustainable value
for both customers and stakeholders. After earning his MBA from the Paul
Merage School of Business at UCI, where he graduated at the top of his
class, Matt went on to earn an M.S. in Business Analytics from the Stern
School of Management at NYU. Currently, Matt serves as Director of
Communications and Ecosystem Development at UCI Applied Innovation,
where he is able to leverage his passion for entrepreneurship to help
further develop the Orange County startup ecosystem. Matt was also an
adjunct professor at the Argyros School of Business at Chapman
University, where he taught data analytics, and is currently a lecturer
at the Paul Merage School of Business at UCI teaching the Lean Launchpad
method of market validation for entrepreneurs.
